ABOUT THE ARTIST 

Zahra Zuzzana is an independent Artist, Designer and Screenprinter creating wearable artwork and organising events for the creative community. Creativity is a key aspect of expression and she believes everyone should be given the opportunity to express themselves in whatever avenue they wish. ZUUZKI combines artwork produced by her origins of Berber and Celtic cultures.

Ancient cultures are deeply rooted in her artwork which contain  influences from Mayan stonework and Aztec pottery also mixed with traditional tattooing and old tales.

She came across a very old collection of books as a child, dusty thin paper pages filled with marvellous images of ancient cultures. She was instantly fascinated by the ideologies of their time and the images they used to exhibit their world; leading her to create unique timeless pieces that evoke mystique and intrigue for the bazaar.

‘I prefer to act on impulse rather than thought to ignite the initial point of creation, for example I try to not think or visualise anything, just act on feeling and movement then from the disorganised scribbles I begin to transform them into something I see within the chaos. ’-  ZUUZKI
